Another Day at Grandma's House
Sharon L. Wilfong (Stallings) is a creative entrepreneur born in Southern California and currently residing in Seattle, Washington.
Her love of Art developed at an early age, fostered by her grandmother who gave Sharon National Audubon Society pictures to copy. Wilfong discovered a love of color
and craftsmanship, as well as a kinship to nature, from studying her grandmother's life-long collection.
She continued her self education, studying Renoir, Gauguin, Degas, Van Gogh, and Monet . . . again influenced by her grandmother who was an artist in her own right.

Self Portrait in D-Minor

These early "teachers", the artists that Wilfong attempted to emulate as a young person, continue to influence her art work.

Self Portrait
Paul Gauguin
Echoing colors from Gauguin here, a brush stroke from Van Gogh there, she pays homage to the artists whom have inspired her desire to paint.
Bold color, deep layers and hidden images dominate Wilfong's work. She specializes in ethereal imagery and organic abstracts with themes whose meanings shift from viewer to viewer.
