Julie Luke
I believe that we are all free agents of creation. As an artist I feel and see with the absolutely infinite inner voice and visions of love; to model self-love and acceptance and help create more peace within self and amongst peers.
To evoke what each of us know already: that we are are beautiful for exactly who we are.
To manifest though my visions and art the love, unlimited possibilities of creation, and self-acceptance that lies within into the outside world.
To teach, model, and share with heart and soul to live your personal truth.
To help raise the hearts and souls of each beautiful person it reaches; that it reflects to them just how beautiful they are and how limitless and inspiring life truly is.
It's a blessing and a gift, not just for myself but most importantly for my brothers and sisters who move with grace on Mother Earth.
When each of us lives contentedly and embraces our individuality-especially with all the abundant diversity of each of us that should be beloved and nurtured- our humanity and world will become whole in turn. Julie Luke

The Low-Down
Julie Luke is an emerging visionary artist based out of Tacoma, Washington. She creates whimsical spiritual paintings that evoke her ideals of being boundless and one with spirit. She uses bold patterning, and intense contrast to express her distinct works of art. Julie’s works have been exhibited in galleries and art venues throughout the Pacific Northwest, including a commission for the private gallery of the Dr.Martens U.S. Headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
Born on June 18, 1980 in Port Angeles, Washington, Julie was the eighth of nine children, and formal art culture was not accessible to her as a child. She began creating time based ecological art at the age of five years old and began to educate herself in painting when she was fifteen. Julie’s artistic beginning evolved from an innate means to express her distinctive voice amongst a repressive environment. Julie states that the world she would travel to while creating was pure and loving full of otherworldly expression and freedom. Her inherent talent to express and create was influenced by her father, who was a self taught blue collar artist; Julie’s father is still her favorite artist and key inspiration to date.
Julie never imagined her art would later bring her a life as a professional artist, but blissfully welcomes the many exciting and healing opportunities it brings. Julie is currently working on several bodies of art, including The recalibration of light and dark 2012.

Interview 2013
S~ Would you share anything new in regards to your Art (production and career) that has happened over the last two years?
Since 2010 my whole outlook on life has changed in so many amazing ways. I have been on a journey of allowing myself to be at peace with in myself and be who I am without worry of ridicule of the mass consciousness that had plagued me for years for choosing my own path and staying true to my visions. I am honestly exploring and embracing the concepts of the spirit and core of self and it’s been beautiful and life changing.
S~ What have been your recent influences?
My Recent influences are peace, love freedom, compassion, duality acceptance of that duality and last but not least individuality and following your heart. I always channeled visions fractals of information feeling and metaphors, they constantly come flooding in like messages I need to spread out to the subconscious of the world ... so I follow the urges from the crux of myself, be it compared to the bird on the wire ... and my awareness here earthly is the bird on the ground, the crux. The commentary voice ... It knows much more than my “conscious mind” and is always guiding me and sending me beautiful images of a life from many dimensions and parallel realities … the heart though is always love and compassion for not only all of humanity but to be especially loving to self.
S~ How have life events affected your art in recent years?
I believe my art has grown in so many beautiful ways due to truly learning from every moment be it packaged and sent to me in a positive light or negative tone I learn and grow from everything and its made me that more confident and peaceful with my art and the expressions of my work are so much more fluid.
S~ Have you explored any new media/ discovered any new techniques?
Several new lines of works I am doing including custom portraits, Luke style and techniques are in the works, and the exploration over the past few years of internal growth has fueled the process of new mediums of ideas. It’s really exciting to me, the most exciting I think is the exploratory process of art, I adore experimenting. Trial and error ... it appeases that science lab geek in me ... I just know in some other life I am a lab rat somewhere!
